Everything You Need To Know About Yogamigos Corporate Yoga Classes

At Yogamigos, we’ve been running corporate yoga across Australia since 2012. Our mobile service means we bring corporate yoga classes to your office and workplace. We also provide convenient online yoga sessions for teams that work remotely. Over the years, we’ve seen the benefits of in-office and online yoga classes on individual results, team dynamics, and workplace culture first-hand.

Here are a few things you should know about our corporate yoga classes.

6 Key Benefits Of Corporate Yoga For Workplaces

When your team participates in corporate yoga classes, they’ll soon notice the health and wellbeing benefits.

  • Increased energy. If your team spends between 6-8 hours at their desks 5 days a week, they’re at serious risk of decreased blood circulation, which causes fatigue. Corporate yoga classes incorporate asanas that improve blood circulation, increase energy levels, and reduce fatigue.
  • Reduced stress. Balancing work, family, and social lives is difficult, and it’s a significant cause of stress for many people. Prolonged exposure to high stress levels is first and foremost detrimental to your health and wellbeing, but it’s also detrimental to your business. Stress in the workplace often leads to decreased productivity, employee absenteeism, high turnover, workplace accidents, and corporate culture. Yoga is a fantastic way to reduce cortisol, the stress hormone. Regular workplace yoga sessions will help alleviate stress for your team, improving their productivity and the overall workplace culture.
  • Improved concentration. When you take into account deadlines, demanding workloads, meetings, and issues with colleagues, you begin to get an idea of just how much mental clutter occupies the minds of your staff. Your Yogamigos corporate yoga instructor can teach your team to quiet their minds and focus on relaxing their bodies. Your staff will walk away from their session with improved focus, clarity, and concentration.
  • Better office morale. You can get a sense of the office morale when you walk through the door, and if morale is low, it will foster a negative, unproductive corporate culture. Yoga lowers cortisol levels and provides your team with a shared experience through which they can bond. The more classes your office yoga instructor spends with your team; you’ll find the workplace engagement will become more harmonious, collaborative, and positive over time.
  • Alleviates physical pain. When you spend hours each day sitting at a desk, you don’t notice the strain it puts on your back and neck until it becomes physically unpleasant. This discomfort affects mood and the ability to focus on tasks, making work an unpleasant experience. Yoga has been proven to relieve pain through fluid movements and stretches, reducing tension, and boosting positive moods.
  • Improved immune systems. Workplace yoga classes could be the answer to lowering absenteeism! Regular yoga with mobile instructors stimulates the lymphatic system to rid the body of toxins, improves blood circulation to bring oxygenated blood to the internal organs, and reduces stress levels. These benefits help improve a person’s overall immunity and health, which reduces the number of sick days a person is likely to take.

How Do Workplace Yoga Classes Work?

Regular workplace yoga classes are easy to add to your weekly or monthly work calendar, you’ll be wondering why you didn’t try them sooner.

  • Work out how often you’d like your sessions. You can plan corporate yoga classes as frequently or infrequently as you’d like. We find regular weekly sessions work best for continuity and engagement,
  • Discuss out when you’d like your sessions. The best part about hiring a mobile yoga instructor is the flexibility to choose a time that works for you and your team. Yogamigos can run sessions before, during, or after work. Alternatively, they can run multiple sessions in a day so everyone in the office can organise a time to attend!
  • Face-to-face classes or online. Our teachers are mobile, so we can come to your place of work to teach the classes. Alternatively, we can also offer the classes online via private Zoom sessions or Teams if you prefer.
  • Contact Yogamigos. We’ll provide an experienced, professional pilates teacher to run classes in-office whenever it suits you.

How To Prepare For Your Corporate Yoga Sessions

If you decide to hire a Yogamigos yoga teacher, there are a few things you can do to prepare your team for their first class.

  • Give your team plenty of notice. Let your team know about the corporate yoga class in advance so they can block out time in their day to focus on their own health and wellbeing.
  • Consult with your team. Some people on your team may have injuries or disabilities that may prevent them from doing yoga with everyone else. However, we will always look at planning modifications and variations in our classes so that no one misses out. Please let us know before the session if this might apply to your staff members.
  • Make sure everyone has the right equipment. Your team will need comfortable clothing, yoga mats or a towel, and water bottles, so make sure you advise everyone on what to bring to their workplace yoga session.
  • Set aside a space for the class. Some offices can move some furniture to make room for their yoga class, whereas others will need to find an alternative solution. As your Yogamigos teacher will come to you, you can host your session in a local park if you don’t have enough space.

Corporate Yoga Program Costs

Gifting your colleagues with tailored yoga wellbeing sessions at work is priceless! However, if you’re interested in the numbers, costs may vary depending on how many students attend the class, the duration of the sessions, and the number of sessions you wish to book.
