How was your experience with Yogamigos?
We had Yogamigos spend three full days at our school teaching ages, Reception to Year 7. As a trauma informed practice school, it was a perfect fit to help our students with mindfulness and breathing techniques. Our instructor was flexible and easy to work with.
What were the main benefits of the well-being program for your students?
Our students developed a range of age-appropriate techniques to calm themselves in situations and now use a variety of ways to get in the ‘zen zone’.
As a teacher, what was your biggest learning from the program?
Our teachers have adopted daily yoga and mindfulness sessions from what they observed. I think they’re seeing the beneficial aspects of self-control and better engagement.

How was your experience with Yogamigos?
The students’ experience was a good one, it was their first exposure to both yoga and pilates and they came away with a good understanding of the components involved in each and some of their benefits.
What were the main benefits of the wellbeing program for your students?
The sessions exposed the students to different types of movements involved in both yoga and pilates and the instructor explained both the similarities and differences of each type of activity. Students described feeling like they had never moved like that before, feeling new body sensations which was pleasant for some.
As a teacher, what was your biggest learning from the program?
As a teacher, I took note of how the instructors were able to get the students to buy-in through giving explicit but comfortable instructions which made the students feel relaxed and safe to try something new.
Why would you book with Yogamigos again for your next school wellbeing event?
I would definitely book in additional sessions to further enhance students understanding of the activities and to witness students mental and physical growth and capabilities in yoga and pilates over a long duration of repeated exposures.
